Irish Emigration to North America: Before, During and After the Famine

Speaker: Paul Milner

Learn about the routes taken and the reasons for the emigration from Ireland to the U.S. and Canada before, during and after the famine. Learn how this mass movement of people can affect your research, plus what tools and records are available to trace your Irish ancestor.

Paul Milner, a native of northern England, is a professional genealogist and internationally known lecturer with 30 years’ experience, specializing in British Isles research.

NOTE: Due to unexpected family issues at hand, Mr. Milner will not be able to present in person.  Instead he has granted us access to view a webinar he authored on this topic.  It will be educational and interesting, but unfortunately without Paul Milner in person.  Thank you for your understanding.

This program is co-sponsored with the Glenview Public Library.  You can attend in person or by Zoom.

by Zoom: Please Register HERE, and the Library will send a Zoom Link to you.

in Person: Please Register HERE, and go to the Community Room on Saturday.
