Revisiting the Great Chicago Fire
Speaker: Richard Clark
The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 was a pivotal event in Chicago's history and helped shape Chicago's identity in the years afterwards. Dick Clark, a docent with the Chicago Architectural Center, will discuss the various myths surrounding the fire, share anecdotes of that Sunday night and explore how the fire inflamed pre-existing social tensions.
